I made a mistake by letting you go...

this is Rizing Effect by Irene Yu

Hi [First Name],

It’s been a loooonnnggg while.

The truth is, I spent the last eight months rethinking and reshaping how I want to present myself in the world.

If you don’t quite remember who I am, no worries. I collected your email from my various ventures and businesses in the past.

A little about me: I grew up in an entrepreneurial family in Taiwan and moved to Europe & Germany & Berlin 15 years ago. Along the way, I’ve been a serial entrepreneur, founded an AI startup in 2016, was obviously too early, then pivoted to a tech and media education business, joined blockchain world, then sold the education one, then dived into femtech, meanwhile, leading product, business development, and marketing teams.

From the outside, it probably looked like I had it all figured out. Business partners, colleagues, friends, and clients often thought so too. But honestly? Most of the time, I was trying to make sense of what the f* I was doing.

That’s why this newsletter — The Rizing Effect — was born. It’s not just about leadership and entrepreneurship, which you will also hear and read a lot about.

But also about being authentic in the messy process of figuring things out and resilience.

One of my biggest mistakes a few years ago was letting go of my newsletter…

So now I’m picking it back up, and this time, I want it to be more than updates. Each issue will end with a small action, something simple you can start right away.

And I’d love for you to be part of it. Reply and tell me:

  • What’s the project or idea you’ve been wanting to pick up again?

  • What is the one small action you can do to get one step closer?

I’ll keep you accountable. Promise. 😉

You can always find me on [LinkedIn], one of the most active social media platforms that I am on now.

My team and I, we’re also preparing video series about my stories, if you want to dive deeper, follow along on Instagram here, and TikTok.

P.S. I am figuring out my writing style and tonality, so if you feel every newsletter sounds slightly different, no worries, I am not being kidnapped. It is still me.

I ran a Process Communication Model Workshop last week at FREA Bakery with product managers, project managers, and engineers. Ah, I really miss working with product managers… It was so much fun, we should totally ditch and do it in an analogue way. What do you think? :)

Write me back if you want to know how can process communication model help you and your team.
